Ali Motahari, a vocal critic of Ahmadinejad’s political and cultural policies, has said that sensible reformists and principlists have reached an unwritten agreement to become united.

"In practice this (the formation of an alliance) has happened and the sensible reformists and principlists have achieved an unwritten unity," Motahari, a principlist lawmaker, said when asked about the news that reformist and principlist critics of the administration are trying to form an alliance.
