The ceremony was held concurrent with the martyrdom anniversary of the eight Shiite Imam, Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (AS) in Tehran's Friday Prayers venue where the leader delivered his sermons.
In the gathering of Iranian worshipers, Ayatollah Khamenei regarded this year's Fajr 10-Day celebrations [February 1 to February 11 which marks the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in 1979] particularly on February 11 as manifesting a special passion and enthusiasm for the people in the country.
Describing the radical and profound changes made by the victory of Islamic Revolution in Iran, the leader emphasized: "Such transitions were ensured and followed through the resistance and constancy of Iranian nation during the last 32 years. After several years of endeavor, the Iranian people can witness the reverberation of their yell which signifies both their victimization and power in the recent events of the North Africa and the Islamic awakening among the people of Egypt and Tunisia."
Reminding what a Western official told about the potentials of "Islamic Republic of Iran's constitution to be set as a role model" and the magnetism of the scientific, political, economic and military achievements of the Islamic Revolution for other nations, he added: "Such advancements achieved despite the obstructions caused by the enemies of our nation, and from various aspects Iranian nation has turned to a role model for other nations."
Ayatollah Khamenei saw a number of mistakes made by the West powers as an influential factor in turning Iranian nation into a role model: "Their insistence on trampling over the rights of Iranian people for using nuclear energy led to a more steadiness from the side of our nation and officials. The whole world understood that Iran has made unexpected advancements in nuclear science and would not bow to the foreign pressures to retreat and halt activities in this field."
Elaborating on the persistence of Iranian nation and Islamic state, the Leader of the Revolution said: "At the beginning of the revolution both Imam Khomeini and people stressed on the Islamic aspect of the revolution, but some analysts throughout the world made a tumult insisting that Islam is incongruous with democracy. However the late Imam and people ignored such hubbubs, resisted and maintained that their revolution is Islamic and will remain Islamic."
In the second sermon of the Friday Prayers, Ayatollah Khamenei deemed the latest events in the North Africa particularly what occurred in Tunisia and Egypt as a very significant occasion which resembles to a real earthquake.
"If Egyptian people follow their movements by the help of God Almighty, it calls an irreparable defeat for the United states and the Zionist regime of Israel in the region," he maintained.
Referring to the growing concern of the Zionist regime for the recent uprising in Egypt, the leader pointed out: "More than the others, the Zionists know that if Egypt rejects its alliance with them., what a great event will occur in the region and consequently all the late Imam's prophecies will come true."
Observing the latest uprising in Egypt, he referred to the wrong interpretation given by the West on what is happening in Egypt and Tunisia: "The international analysts attempt to show that the economic problems are the real cause behind the uprising of people in Tunisia and the Egypt, but as a matter of fact it's a sense of humiliation and contempt the rulers of Tunisia and Egypt due to their own wrong practices imposed on those people."
Ayatollah Khamenei went on to say: "When Mubarak rose to power, the status of Egypt as an inspiring country for the Arab and Islamic world was downgraded to an accomplice of Zionists and the enemy of the Palestinians."
Referring to the panic felt by the United States and Israel for the uprising of Egyptian people, he said: "They desperately look for a way to resolve the crisis and their recourse is to deceive people. The success and failure of their scenario depends on the decision and actions taken by Egyptian people."
"This is a war between the willpowers of Egyptian people and the willpower of their enemies," the victory will belong to those who enjoy a stronger willpower.
Concluding his sermons, the leader addressed the people of the Middle East region and delivered a brief lecture in Arabic.
