About Elly Misses Golden Globe Awards
Culture - The list of the nominees of best foreign language films for the 67th edition of Golden Globe Awards was released on Tuesday, and Asqar Farhadi's About Elly was not named.
The list of nominees, released on Dec 15, included films from Italy, Chile, Spain, France and Austrian filmmaker Michael Haneke's White Ribbon, which swept prizes at the 22nd European Film Awards.
About Elly, has already won the Silver Bear award of the 59th International Berlin Film Festival.
The two-hour drama also received two awards at the third annual Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) and the Founders Award for Best Narrative Feature of the 8th Tribeca Film Festival in the US.
Some 173 feature films, 15 animated feature films, 133 television series, 33 mini-series or telefilms and a record 69 foreign language films were considered for this year's Golden Globe Awards.
The annual golden globe awards ceremony will be broadcast live in the US on January 17 from The Beverly Hilton.
