Iran President's chief of staff, Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei was finally summoned by cleric lawmakers' fraction of Iranian Parliament (Majlis) to be warned of his controversial comments.

According to Khabar Online correspondent, Mohammad Taqi Rahbar, the head of cleric lawmakers' fraction said that they will hold a meeting in near future with Rahim Mashaei, regarded as the top aide of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

"Although we have already notified Mr. Rahim Mashaei of his statements and positions, at a session we will give notice to him directly," he told Iranian Student's News Agency (ISNA).

Earlier, some of Mashaei's comments on political and religious issues have been faced with the disapproval of Iranian authorities and clerics leading to disagreements over his selection as the first Vice-President by Ahmadinejad.

Rahbar added that meetings with the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Minister of Education and the officials of some cultural institutes are on the agenda of cleric lawmakers' fraction.
