Qadiri Abyaneh spoke to Khabar Online about the reflection of unrest occurred in the aftermath of Iran's disputed presidential election in Mexico and Latin American countries. 

"We lost many opportunities due to the post-election events in the country and prepared the ground for Western countries to propagate against us. Those newspapers which justified the crimes of Zionists against Palestinian people covered the allegations made by Mr. Mahdi Karroubi [former parliament speaker and current protest leader] on the post-election events," Abyaneh said. 

"Mir Hossein Mousavi [former Prime Minister and the main rival of Ahmadinejad in the recent Iranian presidential election] is the key agitator of the riots occurred in the country," he added. 

Referring to the post-vote clashes, he declared: "If the rivals of Mr. Ahmadinejad had congratulate him as Mr. Ahmad Nateq Nouri [former Parliament Speaker] did after Mr. Mohammad Khatami [former President] won the presidential election in 1998, Obama would force to write a letter congratulating Ahmadinejad's victory. The United States president then would have no way except to moderate his stand on Iranian issue." 

"If those who were defeated at the presidential election had rationally approved the result of the vote attended by 85 percent of the Iranian people, the West would have to back down," Abyaneh asserted. 

The post-election turmoil in Iran erupted when the two presidential candidates, Mousavi and Karroubi claimed the voting was rigged to re-establish Ahmadinejad's government.
