Speaking to Khabar Online, he said: "During the recent post-election unrest, attacks on the line of the late Imam Khomeini and the status of the supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei were increased. Later those deceived to think that the issue at stake is election and democracy turned to sedition."
"But it was revealed that such moves are originally based on opposing the rule of jurisprudents (Velatat-e Faqih) and the Supreme Leader.
The former Health Minister at the both cabinets of Mir Hossein Mousavi, former Prime Minister, currently top opposition leader; and Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, head of the Experts Assembly, and chairman of the Expediency Council is currently among the most severe critics of the two figures.
Explaining that basically disagreements with the supreme leader are expressed at different levels, he said: "There are figures who have not separated their paths from the path of sedition."
Avoiding to name directly the protest leaders Mousavi and former Parliament Speaker, Mahdi Karroubi Marandi maintained: "It's not clear why the leaders of sedition don't save themselves."
The lawmaker stressed that the supreme leader will never involve himself in the political disputes and never takes sides: "He attempts to attract those who are even far beyond the original line of the Islamic Republic Revolution."
Adding that some figures can still correct their attitude and switch sides, he proposed Mousavi and Karroubi to repent, since God loves the repentants.
Marandi asserted that the Supreme Leader simply tries to attract deceived people but some are not to wake up attempting to widen the gaps: "I wonder why they don't detach their line from the seditious current."
The turmoil after the disputed Iranian presidential election was caused after the government said it has won the vote by a landslide. However protest leaders said that the election was fraudulent, damaged by widespread irregularities to reinstate the government.
