He further said basically Khatami did not intend to leave the country. 

Earlier semi-official Fars news agency had reported that the former reformist president and current head of Baraan (Rain) Foundation has been barred from leaving Iran. 

Fars quoted Abbas Amiri-Far, the executive secretary of Tehran's Preachers Association who referred to a session of the entity held last night. There an unnamed intelligence official had announced that Khatami is not allowed to travel abroad. The official had stressed that former president recently intended to leave the country.
