Iran’s first ambassador to Ljubljana, Mohammad-Rahim Aqaeiipour, submitted his credentials to Slovenian President Danilo Turk on Friday.

In the meeting in which some high ranking Slovenian officials were present, the Iranian ambassador examined potentials for boosting ties between the two countries in political, economic, and cultural fields.

Danilo Turk said Slovenia respects Iran’s role in the world.

The Slovenian president also welcomed boosting cooperation with Iran, especially in economic and cultural areas.

The president said Iran’s rich civilization is an important factor in Tehran’s relations with other countries.
