According to the figures of non-rationed gasoline sold throughout the country, the demand for this product grow dramatically during the last 10 days of Iranian calendar month of Azar (December 11 to 21), reaching from 2 million up to 12 million liters per day.
In the meantime the experts underline that the sharp rise is due to the fact that the rationed gasoline of private cars ends on the last days of a season, when a new period for allocating quotas is to begin.
On the other hand they forecast that the consumption of non-subsidized gasoline will increase significantly in winter since the quotas on gasoline has already been dropped by the government. As they estimate it's not unlikely that the demand for non-subsidized gasoline hike up to 30 million liters per day.
Based on this report, the consumption of non-subsidized gasoline reached a new peak of about 12.8 million liters on December 17. Meanwhile in the last 10 days of autumn, the least consumption rate figures belong to December 11, when 9.2 million liters of non-ration gasoline sold to the drivers.
