Actually he had bid farewell to national team after Iran was disqualified for playing in 2010 World Cup. But according to Qotbi and some close to Karimi, the "Magician" is ready to serve the team. 

As a matter of fact, Qotbi had begun consulting for his new invitation of former FC Bayern Munich player from two weeks ago. At first he discussed with Karimi's programs managers both in Germany and Dubai, then held meetings with Karimi himself. 

The midfielder had said last week that he is not to participate at national soccer team's exercises, but seems that Qotbi's negotiations and his insistence has worked and persuaded Karimi to join the team again. 

Earlier in a letter wrote after a 1-1 draw in South Korea which deprived Iran of playing in 2010 World Cup, Karimi officially announced his resignation from national soccer team. However this time it is being said that he will participate at team's exercises from Monday. 

The 2004 Asian Player of the Year had previously banned from the national team in 2007 after he made criticisms against the Iranian Football Federation (IFF) headed by Ali Kafashian.
