"We are planning a remake of 'Lost' for the home review network. In the Iranian version, the plane crashes on a desert," Hamid E'tebarian told.
"The subject matter of the Iranian version is very interesting and we are not to plagiarize the original series. It simply shares the main plot with 'Lost'," he said.
"I personally have proposed the outline of the series. A team of writers are developing it now. We have appropriate facilities and are potentially able to make this version. The main point in the writing process is to carry out enough study and research," the producer added.
Earlier, 'Lost' which has also received the critical accolade entered Iranian home video distribution network.
An American action television series, 'Lost' follows the story of a commercial plane crash on a mysterious deserted tropical island. The survivors must cope with a set of problems to stay alive.
