But at the same time, 40 MPs who back the government held a meeting with Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Saeid Jalili and discussed the issue of exchange of nuclear fuel in Iran.
As khabar Online correspondent reports, it was Hossein Sobhani-Nia, the deputy of National Security Committee of the Majlis who criticized the government approach in shunning to offer sufficient information to the Majlis.
However such a statement was denied by the head of National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Majlis, Ala'edin Boroujerdi who is also a member of the Supreme Council of National Security. Boroujerdi told journalists that he will certainly inform the MPs on the decisions made by the council and if it's necessary the secretary of Supreme Council of National Security or the head of Iran's Nuclear Energy Organization will attend National Security Committee of the Majlis to answer all the related questions raised by the MPs.
But when Iranian Foreign Minister, Manouchehr Mottaki declared the project of simultaneous exchange of nuclear fuel in Iran, one of the other MPs, Heshmatollah Falahat Pisheh complained that the officials of Foreign Ministry have not counsel with the Majlis and even the members of National Security and Foreign Policy Committee are not involved in affirming such decisions.
The other member of National Security Committee of the Majlis, Mahdi Sanaei also told khabar Online that although at times some officials including Messrs. Jalili and Salehi are invited to the committee but the gap between such meetings are so wide that prevent the MPs to access new information.
Referring to the fact that Jalili has simply submitted a report on the last negotiations between Iran and IAEA to the Majlis, Sanaei added: "From that moment, the negotiations have been on exchanging uranium enriched to 3.5 percent with uranium enriched to 20 percent, but in the meantime we have not been informed."
But despite such criticisms, two weeks ago a number of MPs held a meeting with the secretary of Supreme Council of National Security and were notified about the decisions made by the council for following the process of negotiations between Iran and the West.
It was supposed that Ala'edin Boroujerdi and the Majlis Speaker who is the former secretary of Supreme Council of National Security, Ali Larijani also attended session. But not only they didn't take part, but some other principlist MPs who criticize the government including Falahat Pisheh and even more moderate figures like Sanaei had not been invited to the session.
