Iranian opposition leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mahdi Karroubi met each other Wednesday night and discussed on their future plans.

As reported by Khabar Online correspondent citing E'temad Melli (National Trust) website affiliated to Karroubi, the session was held in an unspecified place. Earlier an Iranian newspaper had claimed that the two had opted to talk in the absence of former reformist President Mohammad Khatami.

A report on the two-hours meeting indicates that Mousavi, former Prime Minister and Karroubi, former Parliament Speaker exchanged their views on the recent rally of February 11 staged on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of Iran's Islamic Revolution victory.

The report also reads that the reformist leaders had a conversation about "eliminating a symbol of Iranian national flag". Actually it refers to a ceremony attended by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Tehran for the head of the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA). There, in a graphic design behind Ahmadinejad the green stripe of the country's national flag [green, white and red] had turned to blue.

Green is also symbolizes the opposition Green Movement led by the two former officials.

Last week in an interview with the Sunday Telegraph of London, Karroubi said that he will talk to Iranian people to let them know about the future strategy. Also Farsi language Radio Farda which is financed by the US administration predicted that the former Parliament Speaker is to run a satellite TV network.

At their meeting Mousavi and Karroubi have said they are to talk with people in near future.
