“The application letter for the presence of Ashizawa for performance and holding workshops was submitted to the Center for Dramatic Arts,” Khaseb told the Persian service of MNA.
Ashizawa staged “Zahak” at the 6th Women’s Theater Festival in 2007, which won the Best Performance Award. The play was the result of a series of workshops she held during the festival in Tehran, he added.
“I played the role of Zahak in that play and will probably act in the new production as well,” Khaseb continued.
If the workshops are held on time, the play will probably go on stage at the 29th Fajr International Theater Festival, he added.
Khaseb’s plays “Mud”, “Motherland” and “Mysterious Gift” have been on stage in different countries around the world and have been received warmly by audiences.
