Banned for 3 to 5 years, three Iranian feature films will be screened on the occasion of Norouz, new Iranian calendar year (begins on March 21).

According to Khabar Online correspondent, 'In the Color of Purple' made by Ebrahim Hatamikia, 'Settlement' directed by Tahmineh Milani and 'Many Happy Returns!' by Saman Moqaddam are to be commercially released on the occasion of the new Iranian year. 

Earlier, the same approach was adopted for the screening of the feature fiction, 'Fireworks Wednesday' (Cheharshanbeh Suri) in 2007. Directed by Asghar Farhadi, whose latest work, 'About Elly' won a Silver Bear for him at Berlin Film Festival 2009, the film proved successful in both critical and commercial terms. 

'In the Color of Purple' which was to be premiered at the 23rd Fajr Film Festival, banned for five years. It was shown in the late Fajr Film Festival and received the award of the best screenplay at international competition section as well as the best film and director at Iranian competition section of the festival.
