Referring to the February 11 rally held on the occasion of 31st anniversary of Iran's Islamic revolution victory, the MP Ruhollah Hosseinian notified protests leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi, Mahdi Karroubi and Mohammad Khatami to avoid calling for further demonstrations which will ruin their reputation more.

Speaking to Khabar Online, Hosseinian, the head of Islamic Revolution fraction in the Iranian parliament (Majlis) who is a fervent supporter of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said: "I have no particular advice to give for the persistence of unity and peaceful climate created after February 11. The opponents received a firm response from the people."

Describing people's response to the participation of opposition leaders at the rally, the hardline cleric claimed: "When Karroubi wanted to join people, they began hitting him. When Mr. Khatami appeared, people followed his car and didn't let him to attend the demonstration. Mousavi was also forced to put something like a scarf on the head and go back to his home. So it's better for them not to taint their reputation anymore."

"Before February 11, I have told that on its way, the raging flood of people on the anniversary of Islamic revolution victory will remove any dirt and dust," he claimed.

"Dirt and dust" is a term used by Ahmadinejad to describe those protested against his re-election after the disputed presidential vote on June 12.

"At the moment Iranian people are united. All enemies inside and outside the country, all world powers and foreign spectators witnessed such unity on December 30 and February 11," Hosseinian declared.
