Two European makers of luxury cars, Sweden's Volvo and Audi AG from Germany are reportedly to launch production lines in Iran by the next year.

As Khabar Online correspondent reports, the representatives of the two companies are currently in Tehran negotiating with a team of directors of Iranian automaker companies and Iranian government representatives to reach an agreement on initiating production lines.

Swedish renowned carmaker, Volvo is supposed to manufacture two types of passenger cars as well as a type of a truck if the deal is signed. Until now no agreement has been reached on the prices of Volvo cars, but generally a precondition for the both giant automaker is offering low prices and high production capacity.

The German luxury brand, Audi AG is also to manufacturer three passenger cars with three different range of prices but all under 200 million rials (less than 20,000 dollars).
