At a telephone conversation, Brazi's Foreign Minister Celso Amorim discussed with his Iranian counterpart, Manouchehr Mottaki on Tehran nuclear fuel swap deal.

The both officials agreed to hold a meeting which will be attended by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu as well.

As Khabar Online correspondent reported quoting Iran's Foreign Ministry administration for press and information, at the telephone conversation Amorim maintained that the recent United Nations Security Council move on passing the resolution 1929 was a counteract to the reconciliatory measure taken by Iran, Brazil and Turkey.

The forthcoming session scheduled to be held by the foreign ministers of the three countries is aimed to explore new initiatives in line with Tehran's nuclear declaration.

On the sidelines of the G 15 summit held in Tehran on May 17, Brazil brokered a pact with Turkey which approved by Iran to send the Islamic Republic's uranium abroad for more enrichment.

But the fourth round of the United Nations sanctions against Iran passed on June 9 over what the West claims is a nuclear program for producing weapons. The Islamic Republic resolutely denied the charges reiterating that the program is meant for civilian purposes and insisted it will keep on enriching uranium.

Earlier Brazilian foreign ministry officials had cited the fuel exchange agreement with Iran saying additional sanctions would prevent rather than lead to a negotiated solution, but both allies of Iran failed to prevent passing the resolution imposing the new round of embargos on the Islamic Republic.

At the UNSC session, Turkey and Brazil voiced their opposition to the new sanctions on Iran and Lebanon whose government includes members of the Iranian-backed group Hezbollah abstained from the vote.
