The Iranian film "Rainy Seasons" by Majid Barzegar won the Best Director Award at Tajikistan's Didar Film Festival which was held from October 16 to 20 in Dushanbe.
"Rainy Seasons" is the story of sixteen year old Sina who is experiencing a new lifestyle as a consequence of his parents' divorce. This situation forces him to make independent decisions about his life.
The festival also paid tribute to Iranian documentarian Kamran Shirdel who presides over the festival's jury. The Didar Festival previously held a retrospective of Shirdel's works in 2004.
