Among 21 suggested ministers by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad only 7 of them have already served in the 9th government (whether in the same ministry or another, or in presidential deputies).

It's notable that none of them protested to Ahmadinejad's delay in obeying the order of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for the removal of Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei as president's first deputy. Even through their silence, they implicitly acknowledged Ahmadinejad's decision. On the other hand, all the ministers who concerned about or were suspicious at his obedience to the supreme leader and signed a famous letter declaring their allegiance to Ayatollah Khamenei were eliminated by Ahmadinejad.

One of the proposed ministers has been convicted by an Iranian court (although maybe it's soon to express a definite view on this case), the other minister's case has been sent to court for trial, although everyday contradictory news come out of the court about the annulment of the verdict or submission of the case to another court which again makes it difficult for presuming an exact conclusion. Meanwhile suggesting three female ministers by Ahmadinejad has been faced with the disagreement of some Iranian religious authorities and their followers. It is heard from some private circles that the supreme leader had asked Ahmadinejad to avoid from making such a decision before asking the opinion of jurisprudents and religious authorities, and the receiving their agreements.

Apart from the issue of efficiency or non-efficiency of the proposed cabinet line-up which Ahmadinejad wrongly believes that cannot be qualified by Parliament (Majlis), none of these foretold problems are congruous with Iranian principlism.

In its last session, Principlist Parliamentary Group could not reach to a general consent. Perhaps the suggestion made by Parliament Speaker, Ali Larijani that the members of the parliamentary group may act freely has been designed to get rid of such a deadlock.

Because if Principlist Parliamentary Group wanted to reach a general agreement, none of these proposed ministers could not pass through the first filter which is the general qualification of the suggested ministers. So they could not be ratified by the parliament.

Although Principlist Parliamentary Group includes a wide range of MPs from the unquestionable advocates of Ahmadinejad to his severe critics, one should wait and see that what they as the majority parliamentary group will do to the issue. The issue gets more importance with regard to the main criteria for giving votes of confidence to the nominees. As a matter of fact, such criteria have established the prime frameworks and red lines of principlist idea.
