In their interviews with Khabar Online some contractors and manufacturers of electricity industry spoke of their problems including the unwanted dismissal of a portion of their workforces, low degree of liquidity and being on the brink of bankruptcy all because the government has not settled its debts to them.
The owner and executive manager of one of the biggest active manufacturer companies of energy lines complained that Ministry of Energy owes 150 billion riyals to his company. He emphasized that currently their financial problems is increasing every day but there's no signal that the government are going to resolve the issue. He said that they constantly ask for their money but always confront a deadlock. Normally when project is approved by a ministry and it's subsets, the budget is also estimated, "But we don't know why after Energy Ministry arranges a tender and the winning contractor implements the project, there is no money to pay the executive company," the manager complained.
He added that the idea of selling his company and transferring it investment to another country has come to his mind and if it was not for his 400 employees and his moral responsibility for them, he would have immigrated to another country with his financial asset.
According to this contractor he has decreased the salaries of his employees to half in order to manage the condition, but enduring the current condition seems so to be far-fetched, since from the beginning of the new Iranian year his company has been awarded only two tenders. He declared that in the current year the tenders have been so limited. The main problem is a disorder which now is ruling the Ministry of Energy.
